
Attorney Scott White founded White & Associates in 1997, but has been practicing law since 1990. Over the past 30-plus years, he has gained a reputation for having the ability to vindicate the names of wrongfully accused individuals in the criminal justice system. Additionally, Scott is known for his aggressive legal approach in the courtroom and his powerful negotiation techniques outside of the courtroom.
Scott understands that he is often meeting his clients in their darkest moments. He never rushes to judgment, but instead emphasizes treating each client with respect. He adamantly advocates for and embodies the firm’s mission, being fully “dedicated to seeking justice and helping individuals and families improve their lives.”
Scott graduated from Hamline University School of Law and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been happily married for more than 30 years and has two fantastic children. He loves going on vacations, golfing and fly fishing, and spending time up north at his cabin.

Attorney Marissa Luing has been with White & Associates since 2017. She handles criminal law and estate planning for our firm. Marissa dedicates herself to advocating for clients facing various types of criminal charges. She also enjoys helping her estate planning clients with the important mission of planning for death and disability.
Marissa is a committed advocate and an empathetic counselor for her clients. She understands how emotionally difficult and life-altering it can be to be involved in any legal matter. She strongly believes in the firm’s mission of helping clients seek justice and improve their lives while they navigate through the legal system.
In her free time, Marissa enjoys traveling, kayaking down the Mississippi, and cooking. Marissa is always looking for recommendations for new places to eat or grab a drink. She lives in Otsego with her husband and their cats, Dolly Purrton and Jimmy Fluffet. Marissa is a graduate from University of St. Thomas School of Law.

Attorney Madison White joined White & Associates in 2020 and focuses on criminal defense. Her commitment to advocating for clients facing various criminal charges is unwavering, and she brings a strong sense of dedication to her work.
Madison is a compassionate and supportive advocate for those she represents. Understanding the emotional toll and impact legal matters can have, she strives to be there with her clients through challenging times. She is a champion of the firm’s mission, as she is dedicated to seeking justice and empowering clients as they navigate the legal system.
Outside the office, you’ll find Madison with her family and friends. She indulges in activities like baking, hiking, and traveling the globe. Madison earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!) and her law degree from Mitchell-Hamline School of Law.

Attorney Mahgol Momtahen-khan (known to friends and colleagues as MG) joined White & Associates in 2025 and focuses her practice on family law. With legal experience both in the United States and internationally, Mahgol is passionate about helping people through some of life’s most challenging transitions—whether that means navigating divorce, addressing custody issues, or guiding clients through complex legal matters.
Mahgol is known for her compassion, her ability to put clients at ease, and her dedication to finding solutions that serve clients’ needs. Legal matters can be overwhelming and life-changing, and she works hard to be both a strong advocate and a steady pillar of support. She is proud to carry out the firm’s mission of seeking justice and improving lives.
A proud “Double Gopher,” Mahgol earned both her LL.M. and J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. She also holds advanced degrees from leading universities abroad, giving her a unique global perspective in her work.
Mahgol’s favorite thing in the world is playing with her little girl. She’s also a foodie who loves exploring new restaurants and cuisines with her family, and she’s always up for an adventure—whether it’s exploring nature or taking on an obstacle race.
