Jennifer D. Peterson

Jennifer D. Peterson has practiced law in Minnesota since 2001. Her primary focus at White & Associates is criminal defense and family law. Jennifer has been awarded a three-quarter-time contract with the State of Minnesota – Board of Public Defenders. She handles major felony cases, including attempted murder, burglaries, assaults, criminal sexual conduct, and drug cases, as well as misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor cases including DUI’s. Jennifer’s family law practice is also very broad, including dissolution, custody, paternity, and child support. Jennifer is a litigation attorney and she has vast jury trial experience with cases involving criminal sexual conduct, assault, DUI, felony fleeing in a motor vehicle, theft, and many others.

Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer was a prosecutor for five years, primarily prosecuting domestic violence and sexual assault cases. In addition to criminal prosecution, she also handled civil commitments, paternities, civil contempt for non-payment of child support, and establishing child support.
